Geyser is a bridge between Minecraft: Bedrock Edition and Minecraft: Java Edition, closing the gap from those wanting to play true cross-platform.
Complementary is a Minecraft Java Edition shader pack based on Capt Tatsu's "BSL Shaders". The goal of Complementary is being good at everything. Performance, gameplay, beauty, compatibility; you name it. Complementary will try to provide you the most issueless experience possible within the limitations of Optifine's shader pipeline. It runs reasonably fast, supports all GPUs and drivers, works well with mods that no one thought a shader pack could be compatible with, fixes problems that no other shader packs adressed before, doesn't disturb you with excessive effects, and most importantly, it looks good according to the users
OptiFine is a Minecraft optimization mod.
It allows Minecraft to run faster and look better with full support for HD textures and many configuration options.
Feed The Beast is a group of people that specialise in making high quality modpacks and maps for Minecraft. We started out as a custom challenge map in Minecraft that made heavy use of multiple tech mods.
It played very similarly to a type of map known as Sky Block, where the player is starts in a void world with only a small platform, and must overcome a series of challenges. Because FTB included tech mods, it was possible to use the various custom blocks and items to keep track of the challenges and the player's progress, as well as automatically give awards after each challenge was met.
The map was then adapted to allow multiple players to compete against each other in a race to complete the objectives. This version gained large popularity after being live-streamed on Twitch.TV with Direwolf20 vs Nearbygamer, both very well known users of the mods included in the map.
As the map was released to the public, it became apparent that it was very difficult to distribute the map file, mods, and configuration settings to those interested in playing it. At some point a decision was made to combine all of the mods into an easily distributable pack, as well as create a launcher that would streamline installation. These maps became extremely popular and in order to allow more people access to the maps the FTB Launcher was created.
On Minecraft Bedrock Edition, players on Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PS4 are limited to playing on 'Featured Servers' approved by Mojang/Microsoft. These players are not able to join servers via an IP/address. This is an issue for me and others, as the server community on Java edition was one of the major parts that made Minecraft what it was, and what also made what the servers that are now considered 'Mojang Server Partners' what they are today. I wanted to fix this, so I made a solution that anyone can setup easily.
BedrockConnect is an easy to use solution for Minecraft Bedrock Edition players on Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PS4 to join any server IP, while also having access to a serverlist that allows you to manage a list of servers. It doesn't require any downloads, just a few changes to settings.
A completely clean-room implementation of Minecraft beta 1.7.3 (circa September 2011). No decompiled code has been used in the development of this software. This is an implementation - not a clone. TrueCraft is compatible with Minecraft beta 1.7.3 clients and servers.
MCEdit is a saved game editor for Minecraft. Since Minecraft saved games contain every single element of the world the player is playing in, it has much more in common with 3D world, map, and terrain editors than traditional saved game editors. MCEdit has been developed since 2010 with the original goal of allowing Classic levels to be played in the full version of Minecraft, but has since evolved into a full featured editor and is currently undergoing a thorough rewrite for version 2.0.
