Scripts for Streamlining Your Homelab with Proxmox VE
This Utility is a compilation of windows tasks I perform on each Windows system I use. It is meant to streamline installs, debloat with tweaks, troubleshoot with config, and fix Windows updates. I am extremely picky on any contributions to keep this project clean and efficient.
Rich Enhanced Shell History
Context-based replacement/enhancement for zsh and bash shell history
Search your history by commands and get relevant results based on current directory, git repo, exit status, and host.
PiShrink is a bash script that automatically shrink a pi image that will then resize to the max size of the SD card on boot. This will make putting the image back onto the SD card faster and the shrunk images will compress better. In addition the shrinked image can be compressed with gzip and xz to create an even smaller image. Parallel compression of the image using multiple cores is supported.
A simple web scraper for querying HTML documents with XPath and turning the results into an RSS feed.
It's in PHP because it's a good glue for anything web-related, and it uses XPaths because they're awesome to work with.
What makes these tools unique are the ratecontrol systems which achieve those goals.
This package is based on my original collection of Video Transcoding Scripts written in Bash. While still available online, those scripts are no longer in active development. Users are encouraged to install this Ruby Gem instead.
Most of the tools in this package are essentially intelligent wrappers around Open Source software like HandBrake, FFmpeg, MKVToolNix, and MP4v2. And they're all designed to be executed from the command line shell:
transcode-video Transcode video file or disc image directory into format and size similar to popular online downloads.
detect-crop Detect crop values for video file or disc image directory.
convert-video Convert video file from Matroska to MP4 format or from MP4 to Matroksa format without transcoding video.
query-handbrake-log Report information from HandBrake-generated .log files.
A quick and simple cryptographically secure script to generate high entropy passphrases using the Electronic Frontier Foundation's wordlists, including their fandom-inspired wordlists.
This tool allows you to make an archive of your statuses, your favourites and the media in both your statuses and your favourites. From this archive, you can generate a simple text file, or a HTML file with or without media. Take a look at an example if you're curious.
Note that Mastodon v2.3.0 added an account archive download feature: "Every 7 days you are able to request a full archive of your toots. The toots are exported in ActivityPub JSON format alongside the media files attached to them, your avatar and header images as well as the private key of your account used for signing content." If all you want to do is have a backup of your data, perhaps that is enough and you don't need this tool.
Augment your Mac Terminal with easy native UI
Instant, native micro-GUIs for shell scripts and command line apps
The Unix command line is powerful... But interactivity isn't its strong suit. There are text-mode UIs like curses, but they're not easy to develop, feel archaic to many users and can't interface with the desktop environment.
Termipal is a small and fast GUI utility that lets you create minimal user interfaces using an easy JSON format.
The UIs you create are fully native using the macOS Cocoa API. They have access to desktop APIs like open panels for picking files, opening links in other apps, etc.
For maximum convenience, Termipal automatically attaches to the bottom edge of your terminal window. This way it's right next to where you're typing. This feature works with the standard Mac Terminal as well as replacements like iTerm.
Termipal — let it be your Terminal's new best pal. cringe
